Cy-nap Limited

SMS text messaging for education, healthcare and business

The company was founded in 2001 specifically to take advantage of the opportunities that were being created by the explosion in the use of SMS text messaging with mobile phones.

In what was a very far sighted move at the time the company focused on what might be termed the serious or business uses for SMS texting. This resulted in the first suite of products txttools, which was successfully launched in 2003. These include edutxt, meditxt and txteditor. Today they are used by hundreds of UK Universities, Colleges, Schools, Clinics and Hospitals and commercial organisations including The Financial Times, The International Herald Tribune and Rockwell Automation. These organisations trust txttools to manage many thousands of message transactions daily.

This powerful suite of desktop-2-mobile products enable our users to interactively send and receive text messages to selected groups of phones using a secure interface. Crucially the delivery status of each message can be tracked.

txttools also provide a rich set of features for manipulating groups of recipients and distributing important text messages such as "Are you aware your child is not in school? please contact school office on 05040 878787" and "Remember you have an appointment at 10.30 tomorrow".

The txttools team continues to lead the market in the development of cutting edge applications. Recent developments include RSS-2-SMS and inbox filtering which allows inbound messages to be redirected to a mobile, e-mail or a database, based on content, time or sender.
